Stefan Bradl put together an impressive second day on track at the Gran Premio Red Bull di San Marino e della Riviera di Rimini, challenging for a Q2 spot and battling the Honda regulars.

After a steady start to proceedings in the morning, Bradl put his deep knowledge of the Misano track and the new Honda RC213V into action in Q1. Moving into the top two with just under half the session left, the German’s best time of 1’31.560 earned him 15th on the grid, ahead of Zarco and Miller, when the session ended.

In the Sprint, Bradl would cross the line in 22nd position, just behind Takaaki Nakagami on the LCR Honda machine.

“Our Saturday started very well with Qualifying, of course it was a little bit frustrating to miss on Q2 by only a few tenths but it was nice to reward the Test Team with a strong result after the hard work they have been doing. We still need to keep working on the performance over the longer distance, but I think overall we are heading in a good direction for the future.”
