Racing Kit Parts

The HRC Racing Kit is a race-only kit to enhance the performance of the CBR1000RR-R on race circuits, targeting a wide range of users. Racing kit parts compliant with regulations of each country are available.

The CBR1000RR-R can produce more powerful yet maneuverable performance than before when the exclusively designed HRC kit parts are mounted to the base motorcycle, which performs better thanks to installation of the two-motor TBW (throttle-by-wire) system. Furthermore, when the exhaust pipe with the RCV (Revolutionary Controlled Valve) is assembled, acceleration/deceleration during cornering can be controlled to deliver more engine power.

The advanced control system can bring various engine characteristics, so that riders of diverse levels can demonstrate competitive capabilities on their respective circuits.


PGM FI UNIT

  • While the racing control of the 2024YM racing PGM FI unit has been substantially upgraded, addition of new control allows to adjust machine settings finely to improve performance on the circuit significantly.

Data Setting Tools

Power characteristic map profile and opening settings have been redefined to further improve maneuverability for exiting corners. In conjunction with the TH Grip Adj, this feature allows modification of output characteristics in response to grip operations.

HARNESS

  • The PGM FI of the race kit performance can be delivered when the race-only harness is installed.

CLUTCH

 

 

  • The side plate added between the damper spring and clutch outer has improved wear resistance significantly.
  • Additional surface treatment (hard anodization in red) has improved wear resistance further.

OIL PAN

  • The oil pan has been designed deeper by 31 mm than one used to the street-legal motorcycle to improve toughness against aeration during racing.

 


TRANSMISSION

  • Application of the close-ratio transmission, despite the street-legal design not being close-ratio, has improved gear engagement.
    Additionally, the transmission is entirely machined for optimal geometry, reducing weight of the transmission set by 120 g.

RADIATOR

  • Installation of the race-only radiator improves cooling performance.
  • Stays and painting unnecessary for the race motorcycle have been eliminated.
  • The fin pitch of the radiator has been changed to improve cooling efficiency during high speed riding by 5%.

 


CHAIN ADJUSTER

  • Installation of the race-only chain adjuster improves maintainability of rear wheel attachment/detachment.

  • The ratio curve has been defined appropriately for circuit riding compared to that of the street-legal design intended for pillion riding.
    Two types of kits are available: Kit B with design intended for suspension operability throughout the entire stroke; and Kit A with intermediary design.
